Essentially practical, the AFCMD session develops a deep understanding of the underlying mechanisms of movement (intention, postural organization, movement path, anticipation, pre-movement, imaginary, symbolic...). It refines body awareness through movement exploration and kinesthetic integration of theoretical, anatomical, physiological and biomechanical information.
Experiencing one's own body as a place of knowledge is at the heart of this work. Complementary to the usual work of the dancer, teacher or choreographer, it allows:
• to overcome difficulties more quickly,
• to support physical, technical and artistic challenges,
• to sustain preparation and recovery.
This work also develops an informed view of choreographic writing, which is an asset for the performer.
